Post Qualifying Exam Studentship and Internships

Only a few select stores are budgeted for registered Students and Interns every year and most of these positions are located outside of the large urban centres.

If you have passed all PEBC Qualifying exams (MCQ and OSCE) and are ready to complete your Studentship (in Ontario) and/or Internship placement, please submit your resume and a cover letter explaining why you want to work for Shoppers Drug Mart, and specifying in which geographic location you are seeking a placement. If you have previously worked for a Shoppers Drug Mart® store, please include the store number or Associate-Owner’s name. Applications can be submitted to our Pharmacy Recruitment Specialist.

Applications for Studentship and Internship placements will not be considered without resume and cover letter.

All Interns will be requested to sign a contract committing them to work with one of our Associate-Owners for a specified period of time after licensing.

Pre Qualifying Exam Studentship
If you are in Canada and are seeking a Studentship position before you have completed the PEBC Qualifying exams (both MCQ and OSCE), you should directly contact any store at which you would like to work as the stores directly hire for positions at that level. You can find a store list under the store finder tool. Please do not contact the Student/Intern Recruitment Coordinator for a Studentship position if you are at this stage of licensing.

Pharmacy Assistants or Technicians
If you are an International Pharmacist who has not yet completed all PEBC examinations (Evaluating Exam, MCQ Exam, and OSCE), you are not yet a registered Student or Intern and you must apply for the position of Pharmacy Assistant or Technician. Shoppers Drug Mart Associate-Owners are responsible for hiring their own Technicians, so at this stage of your career please contact the stores directly. If they have a vacancy and feel that you are the appropriate candidate they may make you an offer.
