Using Technology to Advance Patient Care
Shoppers Drug Mart®/Pharmaprix® invests heavily in new technology. We strive to use new advances to free up Pharmacists’ time – valuable time that they are then able to spend with their patients.
For example, our Interactive Voice Response system allows patients to order refills over the phone twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We’ve also made significant investments in advanced refill capabilities that streamline and speed up the prescription filling process.
Our most recent development is a new state-of-the-art computer system that will further enhance workflow, allowing Pharmacists to spend even more time meeting patients’ needs.
