I found myself shopping for a new foundation after the one I have been using for years was discontinued. After some trial and error, I stumbled upon About Face. This foundation is perfect for me colour wise (F2 Olive here!) and in texture as well. My skin is on the sensitive side and I can't use foundation with silicones (or niacinimide) which limits the options significantly. The foundation will cling to dry patches (don't think this is unique to this foundation) but I find that as long as I prep my skin well, it blends into my skin nicely and will last all day after being set. As the other reviewers noted, it has a lovely dewy finish. Sometimes I add it to my moisturizer for a sheered out look or on its own the coverage is buildable and evens out the skin nicely. I apply with my fingers and buff it out with a brush. My daughter is also loving the foundation for her sensitive, rosacea prone skin. To find this foundation at a reasonable price point is amazing, and I hope that Shoppers continues to carry and expand the offerings from the brand. Would love to try the matching concealer as well but have found a good match in another brand in the meantime.

I have spent decades trying to make foundations work that were not quite right - cool tones pull pink, warm pull orange, and neutral pull peach. The F2 Olive shade is the closest I have ever come to a match. The undertone is perfect, I wish it was a hair lighter but I can make it work better than any other foundation. Beautiful finish, it wears really well.

Formula: I think it is really beautiful! It does not mess with my (excessive) skincare, and looks extremely natural on the skin. It is not cakey, and it does not cause breakouts on my sensitive skin. The coverage is light to medium so you will need a concealer for dark red spots. The finish is slightly glowy but flexible, meaning that if you wore it with all matte products it would look a little bit more matte. It is also slightly perfecting on the skin, a truly lovely finish. The wear time is good for a glowier/more natural foundation, some transfer at the end of a long day. I would actually rate this 4.5/5 stars if I could, because it WILL cling to dry spots if you have any. Typically I don't have any problems as long as I am diligent with my skincare. Also, if you have excessive oils this foundation is alright, as long as you use a solid primer and powder. Shades: I struggled to find my shade online because this foundation is not available to look at in stores. I ended up purchasing the shade F1 Neutral as I am quite pale. Shockingly, this shade is light for me (I can still make it work) and would opt for a darker shade in summer. This is amazing because there are fantastic options for fair people. In fact, they have a well-balanced shade range for people of all skin tones. Many makeup brands add too much/have too saturated undertone pigment and then fair shades all pull unnaturally yellow, orange, or pink. Refer to the swatches I have provided (taken in natural light) but you can see that it is balanced and does not pull too far. I have not tried any other shades but trust that they are well done based on what I have seen. This foundation is definitely worth a shot if you struggle to find your shade with other brands.
