Too drying to my lips for my taste/preference

This product was just okay for me. I am new to this brand of lipstick. First, it is darker than my preference, so I tended to not go over my lips so many times to ensure that it wouldn't get even darker. This matte lipstick, again not my preference as I like a combination matte/cream lipstick, this ...was drying to my lips and I did not find that it was a "Longwear Satin Lipstick" as the packaging claims. My lips didn't feel moisturized and I didn't find that the product stayed on my lips long - in fact - I kept having to add more lipstick to my lips due to the dry texture of this lipstick. When I press my lips together, I don't like this dry feeling. I want a softer lip w/ a bit of gloss & sheen to them. I do like the packaging of this lipstick somewhat and it is easy to dispense both up and down. The packaging definitely looks quality and premium. I do have several lipsticks from other brands and some of them have cap colors that match the shade of lipstick. This Giorgio Armani cap is red, so it kept throwing me off thinking that the lipstick inside was a red color, so I had to get adjusted to the fact that it was not. This is just something that I'm used to though. Anyway, definitely not a lipstick I would purchase as I wasn't crazy about the color, it left my lips feeling dry, & I prefer a glossy finish w/ some sheen.
