Avene's old formulations with retinal used to be plumping and hydrating.. this one is very drying even with multiple serums and creams. Not a fan.

I love the cream , but I m very disappointed with the pump. Pump stopped working and I knew that there is still lots of cream inside. I had to take the whole bottle apart so I can use the rest of the cream and not wasted.

I have semi sensitive skin and this was fine for me, but I hate the jar to the point of not buying more. You can not see how much is left and can get all product out. You can't recycle the jar because you can't remove the top and wash the inside. I called Avene to tell them I didn't like the jar and they sent me a free product but they haven't changed it.

Ma peau est naturellement très sèche. J'ai acheté cette crème en espérant hydrater ma peau. La sensation initiale était agréable (crème riche). Mais après quelques jours, j'ai commencé à peler. J'ai dû arrêter de mettre cette crème.

This cream is fantastic! Very moisturizing , creamy and rich, which is great for my dry/combo skin, and for a retinal/retrinol-based product as those tend to be drying. The airless pump prevents oxidation and dispenses just the right amount of product every time. It is a little pricey (are we paying for the packaging??) but I 100% prefer it over the Olay Retinol 24 for my skin type. I use this for hyperpigmentation/preventative aging and my skin feels soft and looks glowy in the morning on the nights I use this. Redness and peeling is not uncommon with retinol products especially if it's at a high percentage and you are brand new to them. I have a bit of tingling after applying this which I take as a sign that it's very potent! I remedy this by applying a basic moisturizer (the Ordinary or Cerave) right before this one and limiting use to every other day or a few days a week. I also apply sunscreen every morning. As for the cons... I wish they made a fragrance-free version. The scent is nice and I have to issues with allergies, it's just a personal preference. It's not clearly indicated what the percentage of retinaldehyde is in this product and I think that makes it tricky to use. Also, this product is marketed as anti-aging but it would be well-served being marketed specifically as a retinol cream as opposed to a cream that happens to have retinol/retrinal in it. Anyway, love it. Will keep buying as long as they keep selling.

Not sure if this is supposed to happen. Love all their other products. But my skin is visibly peeling like a sunburn, is this supposed to be part of the process?

This product has a very strong and harsh perfume. It burns on application. I used it 2-3 times in the last few weeks and woke up each time with a bright red face and gaping pores. Threw it away.

So after purchasing some chanel cosmetics at Holt's I went to shoppers on danforth and victoria park to buy some more revlon lipsticks(I find they are better than chanel, and are dupes for dior lipsticks or YSL matte lipsticks - if interested the ones i replenished are: 016, 011 are both matte and 773, 450 are with shine); Anyways long story short, I saw that they also had Reversa anti wrinkle creme back-in-stock and so i bought because I've always loved it! While at checkout counter the very friendly and polite lady name Irene - we got to chatting about Reversa and so she gave me sample package of Avene Hyaluron Active B3 Multi Intensive Night Cream and said she thinks i may like it and also that i should buy something else for around $5 in other to receive promotion for 30,000 points on the shoppers optimum card as i was just shy of the qualifying amount of $100 before tax and so most certainly i bought another Revlon lipstick lol, Bare it all #755..... The point is i tried this Avene product that same day after referral by Irene and i don't know but there's something in there that is indeed fast acting and makes the facial skin feels smoother real quick (it acts much faster timeframe than reversa imo. Also no burning or stinging sensations, nothing whatsoever it just absorbed really fast with little moisture shine left on skin); To be honest my face felt similar to when i get a microdermabrasion treatment(smooth, soft and much firmer). Guess I'll see what the lasting effects looks and feels like on my face, and if it is indeed same results as just that one night, and if so I'll definitely stop getting microdermabrasion treatments every 3 months and use it along with my Reversa:)

I was looking for a night cream with a stronger retinol and niacinamide. This looked like a good option from a reliable brand. The pump jar is a bit strange but it does keep the ingredients stable however you can't tell how much is left in the jar. It seems effective as my skin is very soft in the morning however the formula is not the most elegant to apply(could use a bit more 'slip'). I do apply my Cerave PM over top as extra niacinamide and moisture. My biggest complaint would be the fragrance. While it's not unpleasant, it is noticeable and I prefer fragrance free creams for my face.

Be mindful of trying this. Burnt my skin red on first night application and its been a week and skin is still peeling. Did not use any other product on face and no new cleansers in my routine. Would give this 0 stars if possible.
