It also will heat up the base after more than 2 rounds of cooking. I was hoping to use everyday but end up only using when I am short of time because the steam and blend feature is very useful for my busy schedule. Really wished that the parts are better made.

When I contacted the company to ask why the machine keeps beeping when I press start, I was told that it was because there likely wasn't enough water in the water tank to steam the food - and that It's very easy to resolve by filling up the water tank. However, this was not the case nor did it resolve the issue. The problem lies within the mechanical elements of the lid as it seems to not be connecting or sealing properly. It would be amazing if the company would offer to provide me with a replacement. I did expect much more from this product and the company.
