Used this way, it is a relaxing and enjoyable experience. If budget isn't a concern, it's a nice addition to a facial massage routine and looks stunning on a vanity. That said, there are more affordable tools that are easier to use and likely just as effective, if not more so, from a purely functional standpoint.
