I bought a few of these for friends that's how good it is.

I've had this machine for several months and it works much better than the previous Dyson Animal machines. The only problem is no matter how high you adjust the brushes, the brush head falls off and is very hard to put back on. Don't buy if you have a thick rug!

After almost 11 months of usage, I am very pleased with the Animal Complete's performance. Just like its predecessor, a 2007 DC07 that I repaired myself every few years until it died in January 2023, the Animal is able to handle the dirt, hay, etc, that our boots bring in from daily farm work, as well as the copious amounts of hair from a Golden Retriever, a silky Calico, and my waist-length hair. I vacuum from one end of the house to the other, dumping the bin twice, reverse course, vacuum in the opposite direction and dump the bin one more time. It revived the texture of my old carpet. Pros: -Suction is outstanding. -Hair never tangles on the brush roller -Many useful attachments -Can recline to vacuum under most furniture -Ideal for vacuuming medium pile carpet or vinyl. -Great maneuverability for zipping around corners -So easy to clean brush roller housing when something gets lodged - Long cord Cons: -Feels a bit too delicate when compared to my DC07 -Placing the power-button next to the roll brush button causes them to hook onto each other occasionally, making it difficult to turn either on or off. (Was easier on the old unit with the brush engagement on the vacuum head.) -Like other reviewers note, the vinyl/tile setting is unusable. If a floor is even slightly out of level, the vacuum sucks to the flooring and can only be moved by turning off the unit. -Returning hose to its cradle can be tricky at times; not as smooth as the DC07 I use the Animal Complete 1-2 times a week in my 950 sq ft house and highly recommend the model to others. I tried numerous brands before Dyson came into existence, but the DC07 and the Animal are the only vacuums able to conquer everything our farm can throw at our carpet. I will remain a Dyson devotee until they discontinue corded uprights.

This is my 3rd Dyson -- the first one I bought 20 years ago. I really like this one and the wide variety of attachments it came with. I don't have a problem with it being difficult to push like other reviewers mentioned. They must have the height level on the wrong one. My only complaint is that it doesn't reach the wall at the baseboards on carpet. My older Dysons have little brushed to help with this; this one just has a soft tab that doesn't clean right up to the wall. I messaged Dyson about this but had crappy customer service that couldn't help.

I've been using Dyson Vacuums for at least 15 years, maybe longer. My parents have 2 and there old, but they work great. My issue is with the Vacuum piece that vacuums carpet. I've literally only have used it for 15 minutes and it keeps falling off. I'm also, unhappy with your customer service who probably has never used a Dyson in their entire life. If someone tells me, "Give me a moment while I look in My Tool Box" one more time! That's a red flag for me.

1. It weighs a ton; 2. it's difficult to push; 3. it's not "user-friendly" to switch over to wand and attachments; 4. does not have a place onboard to store attachments; 5. given all the hype, it should have a retractable cord. I was so excited to get it that I tried it the first night. I felt like a wrestled an alligator and immediately boxed it up and started the return process. Also very annoyed that no one from Dyson has responded with return details. Will never purchase a Dyson product again. I had a friend who was pining for one: no longer.

Was so anxious to finally to be able to order the Animal 3. Having my Animal for many years and finally beating it to the ground, I ordered the Animal 3. While this is definitely an upgrade - love the hairless roller...no more pulling and cutting hair from the roller. The one-touch handle removal is an absolute upgrade. I always struggled with getting the handle back in place on my other Animal. There are a few disappointing features though; they still have not done anything to improve the wand on this vacuum. It's almost impossible to use. It does not bend to easily get inside sofas or along baseboards without either tipping over or just not at all. It does extend though to reach high areas. This machine is much harder to move than my old machine and pulls to the left. No matter what I do I cannot roll it to the right easily. I am disabled and have to literally pick it up to place it where I want it to go. I have tried loosening & tightening the wheels but to no avail. Also, it does not vacuum on high-pile rugs. I have a high-pile throw rug in my living room and forget about it. I have to use a stick vacuum to get it clean. Very disappointing. My Dyson Animal went over it thoroughly with no problem. Yes, I am disappointed with this model. I would have sent it back if shipping wasn't so expensive.
