Initially I thought the product was good, then my lashes started breaking. I have never had my lashes break with any other mascara but it certainly dried them and became brittle.

Bought this twice now. Love it. Makes my lashes longer and more noticeable.

Just as a disclaimer, this is the first tubing mascara I've ever used so take this review with a grain of salt. I found this is really good at lengthening my lashes, however there was a bit of a learning curve for me as I've never used tubing mascara before. It doesn't offer much volume at all and it is not great for building up (maybe just a property of tubing mascaras in general?) When I first started using it, it was clumping really bad because I was attempting to build it up. If I tried to use a brush to separate my lashes it would either pull the entire tube off the lashes or take my lashes out completely. Great staying power though! Because of my inexperience most likely, I did end up losing quite a few lashes and had a couple bald spots after the first week of using this. Once I got the hang of it and using warm water and soaking the lashes to remove the tubes as instructed, I was still finding it was removing some lashes. It does not flake and if you get your lashes a little bit wet it still stays, but if you are crying the mascara tubes will come off. I found that less is more with this mascara; if I want to try and build it up it was better to "dab" the mascara on the lashes after the first coat dried. When I tried to comb the mascara through as a second coat it clumped, took the tubes from the first coat off or took my lashes out. I started using it as a cover over regular mascara to stop it from flaking or melting and that worked alright, but still clumped a bit, so I use the dab method. Lastly, it does not hold a curl. I tried curling my lashes first and the mascara immediately made the curl fall, and I tried curling after and that either took some of the tubes off or clumped the lashes and the curl still fell. Overall it was ok, but I wouldn't purchase this again.

It separates and extends the lashes nicely without adding too much volume, making it perfect for a "no-makeup makeup" look. If you prefer dramatic, voluminous lashes for an evening makeup look, this probably isn't the best choice. But for everyday wear and a more natural appearance, it works well.

It gave me length and a slight lift that I need since I have straight stubborn lashes. The formula is very lightweight, you're able to build it without it clumping. I prefer the brown shade for everyday makeup and the black shade for a more dramatic night out look. I have worn the mascara during workouts and did not have it smudging or flaking on me. For the quality that it is it's honestly such a good mascara that I can't believe the value it's priced at.
