Do I still have to follow public health measures if I received a vaccination?

Receiving your COVID-19 vaccination is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Despite receiving the vaccine, it is important to note that we still must continue to take precautions and follow public health guidelines, such as social distancing, hand hygiene, wearing masks in all indoor public spaces, and staying home if we are feeling unwell. Further research is still needed to fully understand the immunity that the COVID-19 vaccine provides, how long that protection lasts, and how it will actually work to slow the spread of the disease. Until that information is available to us, experts will not be relaxing public health measures. Also remember that after receiving your vaccination, because it can take a few weeks for your body to build up the antibodies that you need for full protection, we still need to ensure that we are following public health measures.

Whether you have questions about your prescription medications, over-the-counter products, immunizations, or other health concerns, our pharmacists are here to help.
