What are some non-medicinal ways to help treat colds?

If you do end up sick with a cold, the best thing you can do to help treat yourself, is to take over the counter medications to help alleviate your symptoms. In addition to that, some non-medicinal ways for treatment is to, number one, drink plenty of liquids including water and soups. That is going to help prevent dehydration. The second most important thing that you can do is to rest. Getting more sleep will help your immune system stay strong, to fight the infection.

Whether you have questions about your prescription medications, over-the-counter products, immunizations, or other health concerns, our pharmacists and registered dietitians are here to help.
