This stuff is fantastic! I can wear it alone or under my double wear foundation. It blurs and mattes my face excellently. I have very oily skin and it holds the oil at bay for 8 hours. I highly recommend!

I have been a loyal Estee Lauder customer for years now. I was hooked on the stay in place foundation because it was literally the only foundation that wouldn't oxidize and crease on my oily skin. I have also always used the double wear primer for years and loved it. I just purchased a new bottle of primer as well as foundation in February (from Shoppers here in Canada) The results are SO ugly! Not only was my makeup oxidizing, it was also pilling. Literally tiny balls/ flakes of makeup everywhere by the end of the day. Terrible! I thought it was the foundation at first, but as soon as I stopped using the primer I realized the new formulation of primer was at fault. I am very disappointed. Out the money and looked hideous for months before I could get to the bottom of what was happening.

I used it under the brand's liquid foundation and finished with the powder matt foundation, and topped with a matt setting spray. I got so many compliments without the oil slick that usually plagues me

I love this primer, I've never been the type to wear primer with my makeup since none have worked well for my oily skin, but this one truly is the best it makes my base so effortlessly smooth and gets rid of some of my redness, the price hurts to repurchase but I do not know how I will do my makeup without it in my routine.

I think I've bought every primer there is, all promising but not delivering. Not even one came close to Double Wear Smooth & Blur. I had a coworker say my skin looked like glass! You don't need to use a lot of the product. I use it mainly on my T zone area.

Hear me out. This primer is great for oily skin, BUT you must use it as advised—on well-moisturized skin. I'm 47 and have loved EL DoubleWear foundation for years. However, my skin has changed and become drier and my winter skin no longer looks good with the DW foundation, even when I tried my favorite "hack" of mixing in a drop or two of EL Advanced Night Repair serum. So I had to pivot. I cannot use foundation with any oil in it, so sadly other EL foundations were out for me (I still miss Lucidity foundation!). However, I tried the EL Futurist Skincealer (shades N1 and N2) and discovered a new makeup routine that I love! I wash and air dry my face, then I apply EL Advanced Night Repair all over, then EL ANR Eye Lift and Sculpt, then LOTS of moisturizer that I let soak into my skin (not EL bc I need oil-free). Once my skin absorbs most of the moisturizer, I take a pea-sized amount of this Double Wear Primer and apply a thin layer on any areas where I want to minimize my pores and don't want to get shiny—nose, pores either side of nose, chin, and center of forehead. Next I apply dots of the Futurist Skincealer all over, then add a drop of ANR as I blend it out. This routine gives me good coverage, doesn't highlight lines, and doesn't leave my skin looking dry or oily - just healthy! It's all in how you use it! I would not apply to my entire face.
