I don't know why this eyeliner gets so few stars. I absolutely love it. I've been using it every day for almost 5 years. It stays on all day without smudging and lasts for months. I use Neutrogena wipes to remove it at night and it all comes off easily.

I've been buying the revised version of this eyeliner since it was introduced, and while it wasn't as good as the original formula it was still good enough to use on my older (sight) eyelids and I love the blue color.. I bought the liner again two months ago and just ran out of my old one. Whoa, what happened to the formula? It is hard and dry (it was tightly capped in the box) and doesn't deposit any color on my eyelids without pressing very hard (and then it skips).I didn't return this during the 30-day window because I was still using another one. I'm sorry to have wasted my money, but wonder if I try to purchase another if I will have the same problem. Has the formula been changed in the last 6 months?

Actually, 3.5 stars. I ordered the Emerald color, abd it's such a nice vibrant color. I sometimes like to use bright eyeliners being an Asian (we don't have blue ir grreb eyes) who doesn't usually use eyeshadows because I often rub my eyes. Therefore, I make sure to use eyeliners that stay put all day and not completely disappear if I rub my eyes because if allergy This eyeliner is waterproof and longleaf. The problem people have seems to be breakage, especially when sharpening The first time I used it, it broke off after doing one eye, probably because it was quite soft. I used to ask Estee Lauder counter years ago how to properly sharpen Estee Lauder pencils with its own sharpener and was taught to sharpen bit by bit, not winding it all the way like regular pencil, so I did that with this eyeliner and it worked. Anyway I hope I don't waste any more product after it broke off the 1st time because I'll run out too soon. I personally prefer the infinite eyeliner, but there's no bright colors. I purchased the full=size eyeliner after using a sample and very satisfied with it. I've had it for over a few months now and always stays on and I am able to put on with ease. I have never had an issue with sharpening the pencil and comes out perfect when done. I use a eyeliner sharpener that you can find at any makeup store. I would highly recommend this product and have been an Estee Lauder consumer for years.

I absolutely love this for use in my waterline. It goes on beautifully and does not wander into corner of eyes.. I use the Estee Lauder sharpener and have no problem.i wear contacts and have no problem there either.

This pencil used to be great but this time it is obviously hollow inside. I sharpen it and the lead disappears further up the body?! It also seems to dry out more easily and looses its silkiness

This eyeliner is absolutely horrible..I used there eyeliner for years and when they changed to this pencil I stopped..wish they would bring back the old pencils..all the bad reviews are right on..don't waste your money

I have never written a bad review on an Estee Lauder product, and I have been using their products for over 40 years, until now. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It's just an eyeliner tip and when you try to sharpen it, the pencil is so hard it breaks. I'm not sure if this is a defect or oversight but this has to be improved immediately. And I used a professional sharpener. The sharpener I used came from Estee Lauder as well.

Goes on smooth, stays on all day. Nice bold color, easy to blend. Be sure to have a newer pencil sharpener, makes sharpening it all the easier. Dull sharpeners don't work well.
