The first try of the serum was after I read some ads said its awesome (on its effect and price). I used it in morning and evening. Although the serum looks black, it didn't make my face black, and it's so easy for my skin to absorb. The effect can be seen straight away - I have fewer pimples and the marks went down quicker! Now the first bottle is at bottom and I want to get a new one!

This stuff actually does what it says. In a day the pores one my chin and nose are barely noticeable. I do break out a little from it but that's likely because it is drawing dirt and oil to the skin's surface. That's to be expected and I believe that's part of the cleansing process. First product that ever gave me noticeably results in a good amount of time.

" I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes". Honestly I did not like this Garnier Skin Active AHA + BHA Charcoal Pore-Purifying Serum pretty much at all. This product has a few stand out ingredients like Niacinimide, Glycerin, Propaneidol, Sodium Hydroxide, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid. A little bit goes a very long way. The downside of this product is it is extremely difficult to fully rub into your skin. I felt like I was rubbing it in for 10 minutes. I leaves a black residue all over your face and hands. It also doesn't dry down immediately, it left my face feeling sticky for a while like 40 minutes to an hour.. What I don't understand about this product is why it's black.. This product is meant for refining pores and helping them to look more visible but the colouring actually makes the pores look dirty, like they're super clogged and congested (the dirt/oil has oxidized). I would definitely recommend NOT using this serum in the daytime unless you want to have a black tint/hue on your skin.. Last call out is the smell, it's quite strong and it's not a pleasant smell.. It smells like a household cleaner or car cleaner. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product or purchase in the future, there are better products for pores and texture.

I'll be honest I havnt used a charcoal serum in the past but I found that this product was really helpful in making my pores look smaller! I think it is on the liquid side so you really do have to take the time to massage it into your skin. Well worth the regular price and I'd like to thank TopBox again for the sample!

The liquid has a charcoal color, but it blends in when you apply it and appears colorless on the skin. If you're looking for a serum that helps with pores this might be the one!

I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes. I used 4-5 drops on damp skin after cleansing in the morning. This serum is light with a subtle scent and absorbed quickly. The serum just after application was a little tacky but dried down nicely and layered well under primer and makeup. After about a month I have noticed that my pores are noticeable smaller and my overall skin texture is smoother. I'm really happy with this serum and will repurchase it when i run out.

I really enjoy using this serum - it's water based and absorbs into the skin quickly, without leaving a grey cast. I prefer to use it at night since it contains AHAs. I did not experience any irritation while using this product, even with daily use.

Make sure you use very little to avoid your skin looking grey. This product is really dark, but thankfully smooths and soaks into my skin nicely because too much really does make my skin look oddly dark. My skin felt smoother after using, but I didn't notice any of the other benefits that the product claimed (reduce look of pores, even skin tone). I think this is one of the better feeling serums that I've used (skin doesn't feel tight or sticky after application), so it may be worth a try for some people who may see other benefits that I didn't.
