Surprisingly Good
I had another model of Gillette razor a few months ago (maybe it was a ProGlide?) that came with a Braun trimmer, and they were both awful. I swore off using cartridge razors and threw it away, and kept using my DE safety razor. However, I was never 100% happy shaving with that type of razor. Mont...

Mach 3 quality went downhill
I figure I've been shaving with Mach 3's for 20+ years or for however long they've been on the market. As other commenters have mentioned, the quality has recently gone drastically downhill. I can't imagine why they would do this as it's going to force me and many others I'd assume to move to other ...

Quality has declined
Reviewed at
Gillette.comI have used the Mach 3 for over 20 years. The blade refills have changed in the past year or so and the quality has very much declined. They are not cheap so I do not expect a cheap quality product.
Miss my original Mach 3
Reviewed at
Gillette.comI have been shaving with a mach 3 for about 25 years. It has been a good experience and I have been a steady customer. Until I bought my most recent pack of razor heads. The new lubrication strip is terrible. Is leaves a sticky residue and feels like it interferes with getting a close shave. I have asked a few other people I know that use this razor and have read some reviews online that all say the same thing. The new strip is a change for the worse. If the razors are going to continue to use this formula, I will sadly have to find a new type of razor after two and a half decades.
Noooooo. Whyyyyy???

Gillette.comThese blades no longer work. I am so upset. So what is it Gillette? Am I supposed to be forced into buying the new 6 blade, neon lubricating strip, roller ball, crazy next gen razor? Is that why you've ruined both the Mach 3 and the wife's Venus blades? Ok, ok, the wife, me and our razor burn give in, we will buy the upgrade if that's your game. But only if you can guarantee the next gen blade is actually sharp. I used to use a Mach 3 blade for so many shaves I'm too embarrassed to tell you the number. And *that* over used blade was still sharper than your current new (ruined) product straight out of the box….Please bring back the old blades. I'm begging you.

A Gillette Razor Across Three Generations
Reviewed at
Gillette.comDear Gillette Team, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the quality and durability of your products. For more than 40 years, my family and I have been loyal Gillette customers. There is one story in particular that illustrates what the brand means to us. My late father used the same Gillette razor handle for many years before giving it to me as a gift. I then used and carefully preserved it for more than 20 years. Recently, my eldest son turned 15, and I passed that same razor on to him. I told him its story and asked him to take good care of it—not merely as an everyday object, but as a family keepsake with great sentimental value. The fact that one Gillette razor has remained with our family for so many years and can now be used by a third generation is a remarkable testament to the quality and durability of your products. I have used Gillette razors exclusively for many years and remain a truly loyal customer. I would be delighted to have the opportunity to visit one of your factories someday and learn more about how these products are made. Perhaps, many years from now, my son will pass this same razor on to his own son, continuing a family tradition that began with my father. Thank you for creating products that not only stand the test of time but can also become part of a family's history. Warm regards, Isaac Oliveira
Close smooth shave

supersavvyme.co.uk/Gives a close smooth shave. Razor head is just right size. Handle has good grip. Rinses easily. Lasts me about 10 shaves.
Disappointed

After 40+ years moving on to sharper pastures
Reviewed at
Gillette.comGrew up on these blades. At some point I changed to Venus. Venus blades recently started to give me rash and ingrown after 1 use! I decided, "I'll just go back to Mach 3". What a surprise that these are also USELESS now. You C Suite geniuses that got big bonuses for profit increases (by lowering quality) have lost a 40+ year customer, and her partner another 40+ year customer, and her daughter 15+ year customer. Yes—- you've completely ruined the product. We just compared notes and we all came to same conclusion. No, it's not just a bad batch, you've actually ruined the products! It's all over the internet too. Not just us thinking this. Bad move C Suite, bad move. Shrinkflation would've been better, less cartridges per box and I'd have stayed your customer. I would have just paid more if the quality was still the same. Now I'm on the hunt for sharper pastures. Goodbye, Gillette, it was good while it lasted.
New Blue Conditioning Strip is a Horrible Mess
Reviewed at
Gillette.comThe new design is horrible. I've used Mach 3 razors since I first started shaving. I'll be switching to something else sadly unless they switch back to old design without the blue, goopy conditioning strip.
New lubricating strip makes it unusable
Reviewed at
Gillette.comI just got a refill with the "new" lubricating strip. Wow. To say it's a downgrade is not enough words. I have tried three different shaving gels and the lubricating strip just turns into this goo that completely clogs the blades. I have been unable to get a normal shave because as the blades clog they don't cut anymore. So unless you want to rinse the blade after less than 1.5" of travel on your face, then avoid. I don't know what I'm going to do. I've been using these for more than 20 years and I've never come across such a downgrade before.
