Lovely lip balm product

The shade I have is called Strawberry Shortcake and it's a gorgeous pink colour. I've seen this product all over my social media so I was super excited to try it because people have been saying that it is a really good dupe for the Summer Fridays lip butter balms (which are one of my favourite formu...las for lip balms). I used this product day and night, it stayed in my bag for on the go application. This one definitely has a similar packaging style to the Summer Fridays balms, it is a very sleek long tube, and the outside is coloured the same colour as the product inside. I really like that it has the same soft plastic applicator, so the shape of the applicator moulds perfectly to the curvature of your lips and it evenly distributed the product. The other thing that I noticed right away is the smell. It's a very strong artificial strawberry scent and unfortunately was the reason why this product lost a star for me. Artificial strawberry scents sometimes just don't agree with my nose and this product unfortunately is one of those. I will say that the formula is really nice. It's slightly thinner than the Summer Fridays balm, that one is more thick and tacky like Vaseline whereas this one is much more light and slippery like almost leaning towards a lip oil type of consistency. It does have very good colour pay off too. It definitely is bright pink like the swatch on the lips. It's not super sheer, you definitely can tell that there is colour on your lips. Overall, this is a nice option if you're looking for a close Summer Fridays dupe but unfortunately it just didn't work for me with this particular scent. I definitely want to try some of the other shades in this line because I feel like the formula definitely has potential and perhaps I will like some of the other scents more.
