Pros: I have fine hair and this makes it thicker, stronger and healthier (1-2 times week overnight). Cons: It awful to try and get out. Application: I apply this to my scalp and ends only, under a cap overnight. It's is a very thick product - like putting Bag Balm or petroleum jelly on your scalp and hair. I had a few experiences of overdoing the application and it taking 5 shampoos to get it out - not good for the hair! So go easy. Tips: Before shampooing, apply another lighter oil (i.e. coconut oil) to help break down the castor oil product and make it easier to shampoo out. Or you can mix the product in the palm of you hand with a lighter oil before applying to scalp and ends and that makes it easier to shampoo out too. This also makes a good hairdressing for thicker and/or curly hair. It's easy to overwhelm my fine hair but it does demolish the frizzies.
