Youthful Glow

I received Vitamin C24 free to review from Topbox Circle. I used a pea size amount of Vitamin C24 & mixed it with the Mineral Booster for over three weeks both day & night. I liked that it was unscented, paraben free moisturizer combined with a serum. Even thought it had L'assorbic acid & hyalur...

My skin hated it!

I got this product for free through Topbox. I will start off by saying I do not have sensitive skin. This product however, immediately made my skin sting! I tried it several different times, paying attention to what I used before applying to make sure it was not another product causing the sting....

Great Canadian Product!

I definitely noticed my skin looks brighter and healthier after using this for a few months. It's very light so I definitely recommend using a pea sized amount, then apply dots all over your face so you get even coverage.

Potent and Effective!

This is definitely a stronger Vitamin C product out there, but it works!!! It uses ascorbic acid, which is the most effective form of vitamin c for brightening the skin, and it doesn't use water, since water de-stabilizes ascorbic acid, so I know this company understands how ingredients work (I have a chemistry background, so I pay attention to these things)! Every other vitamin c i've seen out there uses citric acid and water or uses poor packaging that allows the product to oxidize, so I'm so impressed that I paid a fraction of the cost of other vitamin c serums out there for one that is actually made well and really made a difference. My age spots have faded a lot, and now I'm using this on my hands to fade those dark spots. It only took about a month for me to really see a difference. It does tingle when I apply it, but that just tells me it works. And my skin is just proof its working!

NOT for me

Oh goodness, I was so very disappointed with this product. This product burnt my skin and I had to wash off immediately after applying. I thought I'd use it on my neck and the same thing happened.it stung badly. Definitely not a good cram for me at all. I couldn't even use on the back of my hands if I wanted. I'm sure it fine for some women, but not for me.

Use as a primer & brightener

I am 59 years old and use this cream as a primer under makeup; it really evens out my pores. After using it daily for a month I found that it has really brightened my skin and removed the age spots I was developing. Can't imagine doing without it any more! It's a great product.

I've been using this cream Vitamin C24 for a week now. It makes my face softer right away but unfortunately it also makes me break up and I am not prone to acne.. So I'm debating if I should stop using it? I would recommend it but need to be careful

Torn...needs buffering

Torn on this one. Application is really nice. It was weird the first times I put it on, and then when I realized what was going on. It's almost like a powdery texture going on and then it settles into the skin really nicely. I grew to love that. After using the full tube, I was still experiencing the stinging feeling from the high percentage of vitamin C (I've read that most formulas top out at 20% because of this very reason, so there's that). The stinging didn't persist for more than a minute so I kept on keeping on. I'm also unsure as to whether it helped with my hyperpigmentation. I'd like to think it did, but not 100%. Now that I've finished the tube, I've moved on to Indeed Vitamin C serum and no burning feeling (it's also not 20+% though). Also, how do we recycle/dispose of this packaging?

Good first impression

Have been using The Ordinary's 23% vitamin C + HA as my primary vit C serum, but decided to try this as I was about to run out. I use vit C every morning underneath my sunscreen and makeup. The first difference I noticed is that this serum is thicker and feels a lot like a silicone primer. While I like how fluid The Ordinary's is, it tends to pill up if I don't use the right sunscreen on top. This has a nice smooth texture making it easy to blend into my skin quickly. However, because of how thick and smooth the texture is, I'm not as confident about how evenly I'm spreading it. There is no residual tingle or hotspots, so I'm trusting the formula is just more evenly distributed. Overall, I would recommend this as a starter vitamin C serum. Knocked off one star just for the price compared to The Ordinary's, but compared to other vit C serums, it's a reasonable price.

Still undecided

I bought this about a month ago, and have been using it almost daily since then. I use it daily, after a gentle oil based cleanser, and then use a solid moisturizer. My skin is not typically super sensitive, I have sun spots (have since my early 20s), and visible pores. I REALLY wanted to like this, but I'm not sure that I do. I can't tell the difference between my skin now and a month ago, and it stings when I put it on. Not like tingly stings, but burn stings. I'm going to try to use it every other morning now instead of every morning, but given that it doesn't seem to be doing a heck of a lot using it at least 1x a day, I likely won't re-purchase it when it runs out. The silicone to cream type formulation also is weird for me. I can't seem to get used to it, and it wasn't what I was expecting...I would "deal with it" though if I thought it was doing something beneficial!
