No Frizz = Unbelievable!
I am unbelievably happy with the results of this product! I usually never leave the house without straightening my hair because I hate the volume and frizz that comes with my naturally curly hair. After just a couple uses I feel like my hair has been tamed! Now I actually feel comfortable leaving th...

Great Product, Just Not For Me
My tightly coiled hair is very fussy. I don't know why I try things. but I do. I have very dry hair and dry skin, so I need to be careful with things I use. I gave some side-eye when I saw the sodium laureth sulfate listed in the ingredients, but it is gentler than the usual stuff, so I pressed on. ...

Worst haircare range for thick wavy/curly hair
Verified Buyer
Reviewed at
johnfrieda.com/I tried the John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls shampoo, conditioner and mousse, and honestly, this was by far the worst haircare range I've ever used. I know brands sometimes exaggerate claims like "smooth" or "silky" hair, but I've never experienced products that did the complete opposite of what they promised. I paid more because I wanted something suitable for my naturally wavy/curly hair, but it ended up being a complete waste of money. The shampoo left my hair feeling as dry and stripped as if I had washed it with soap or cheap gym shampoo. My hair became extremely frizzy, dehydrated and looked terrible on the very same day I washed it. I've now tried the range twice, with the same result both times. It's not even something I can continue using until the bottles are finished because it genuinely makes my hair look worse. If you have naturally thick wavy or curly hair, avoid this range at all costs.

Hair feels dirty

johnfrieda.com/I've been using the Frizz Ease air dry waves styling foam and also the Frizz Ease serum for a long time and I really like them both. I recently bought the Frizz Ease Dream Curls shampoo and conditioner and it makes my hair feel very greasy and dirty. I won't be buying the shampoo and conditioner again.
Leaves hair heavy and dull

johnfrieda.com/I have used the Frizz Ease line for years and have been embracing my natural curls lately and thought I'd switch from the smooth line. This shampoo and conditioner leave my hair feeling heavy, dull and 'built' up. Hair doesn't feel clean. Very disappointed.
The scent was horrible
I bought this shampoo as part of a set with the conditioner and a creme oil. The packaging said it was a new formula, and this was my first time trying it. As soon as I used it I noticed a horrible smell in my hair and on my shirt. I thought maybe I hadn't used enough of the product or not rinsed it out well, so I tried it again and found the same disgusting smell. I will not buy this product again.

johnfrieda.com/I have used this shampoo/conditioner for years and have loved it. NOW the formula has changed. I hate it! My hair not silky anymore. I am trying to find where I can buy the old formula! Any ideas? If I can't find it I will have to find a new shampoo. So disappointed!
Not good for Frizzy hair

johnfrieda.com/I have been using John Frieda for a long time. I thought i would try this as i have curly and frizzy hair that i recently cut very short. I have been using the Smooth line and then one wash with this, and my hair is back to being really frizzy. Maybe it works better on hair that is nicely curly. but i will not be using this one again.
Love this product!
I had very dry hair it was frizzy and hard to manage. This product changed my hair it's smooth and my curls are to die for. I love this product so good!!!
New Formula is a Disappointment

johnfrieda.com/I've used this product for a long time and it was the best I've tried in a reasonable price range. It gave my hair a very nice slip for detangling, made my hair soft and helped my curls to clump beautifully. I just tried the "New Formula" for the second time and am not impressed. My hair feels as though I conditioned it with store brand conditioner for normal hair. It has no slip and I know my hair was damaged during detangling which took a full 10 minutes after using about half of the tube of conditioner on my very long 3 B/C curly hair. I trust this brand so had no other option available at home to try to rescue the situation. I will not be buying this again. Ever. I feel as though there is no way this product had successful consumer testing on any one with curly hair.
