I have combo skin and am quite acne-prone on the lower half of my face so I use a prescription topical that dries me out. This toner is as excellent on my very dry areas as it is on my oily areas where I have large pores, like it was made for my face. There is no remaining residue or funky smells. I use it twice/day after washing my face with washable cotton/bamboo pads and my face gets so clean without any stripping.
