Decent payout and color selection

Ok, I have to start out by saying (with the risk of sounding bad) that I usually only use specific mid-high end make up brands, so my review is based off of my comparison of this vs. them. I had never heard of this brand so I was really excited to try it out! I loved the color selection and the opt...ion to choose from 3 different colors in one small palette. 2 of the colors were matte and 1 had shimmer- I liked the options there too! The palette was also big enough to be able to swipe your brush through only one of the colors, which is a plus, rather than picking up multiple colors when you aren't aiming for that. It arrived packaged VERY well and securely. Right out of removing it from the packaging, I dropped it on the floor (of course I did!). You guessed it, one of the colors was cracked and a mess. My fault, but I wondered if it should be that easy to fall apart? It was so soft, I was able to compact it back into the square casing and smush it down to make it whole again. When using, the colors represent themselves well on the skin and would be complimentary to any skin tone/shade/color. I'm a light-medium kind of girl in the Fall/Winter and I had to apply with a light hand or the colors were very bold. Looked promising! What I didn't like about application, was the texture. It was extremely crumbly with blush dust everywhere. Perhaps that's the soft nature of the powder coming through. I didn't like it and found it to be messier than most I typically use. I often apply makeup in the car in a pinch (as the passenger!) and right away I knew I would not be bringing this or blush dust would be going all over. So I deal with the dust, get it on, and it feels and looks great! Couple hours later, I'm heading to the restroom. I have zero color on my cheeks. Zero. Where did it go?? Maybe with a lot of layering, primer, or setting spray this would be good. But for me, I think I may give it to my young daughter for play makeup. I was sad about that, but the staying power just didn't seem to be there.
