I used to LOVE this product! It was gentle, cheap and reliable! Not sure what they did to it now, but it smells SO intense of alcohol (LITERALLY like hand sanitizer/rubbing alcohol) that it stings my eyes before it even touches my face. It almost doesn't feel safe to put on my skin. Not a very good message to people like me who are acne prone to put a bunch of drying alcohol thinking it would help "cleanse" or purify our skin. To me that messages acne prone skin is dirty, which it's not. It's a medical condition. Extremely disappointed in this product and subtle messaging. Should have left it as the gentle glycerin based product it originally was. Won't be purchasing any of my skincare from Shoppers anymore to be honest.

This product used to be a very comparable option to SpectroJel, and at a better price. Now, the formula has changed and it's filled with rubbing alcohol, making it completely unusable, smelly, and terrible for your skin. I don't know what egghead thought it was a good idea to do that, but I'm returning to using the tried-and-true SpectroJel.

The product previously was labeled as "Derma jel", was made in Canada and was very good. Now the product is labeled as "Gel Cleanser" and is "Imported for Shoppers...". The new product no longer has the ingredients listed on the web page. The two main ingredients now are water and isopropyl alcohol. It is now runny, you have to use more of it and it doesn't seem as mild on the skin. Definitely not what it used to be.

The second ingredient now is isopropyl alcohol.

Je ne trouve plus ce produit en pharmacie. Très dommage car c'est mon préféré dans cette gamme de nettoyant pour peau sensible et sujette à l'acné. Best product ! But no more in store (?)

This cleanser is very gentle on the skin. Doesn't irritate my extremely sensitive and acne prone skin. Love that it's sulfate-free and fragrance-free. One of a very few number of affordable cleansers at shoppers that meet my requirements.
