How to use
HOT THERAPY DIRECTIONS (1200-WATT MICROWAVE): 1. If gel pack has been in the freezer, let thaw to room temperature before use and follow the recommended heating time instructions. 2. Lay gel pack flat in the microwave and heat at full power for 45 seconds. 3. Before removing the gel pack from the microwave, check it for possible rupture or leakage. Next, check temperature to suit your comfort level. If gel pack is too hot, allow it to cool before using. Temperature will continue to rise slightly. If additional heat is desired, return to microwave and heat for maximum 10 seconds. 4. Knead the gel pack to distribute heat evenly. 5. Do not apply the gel pack directly to skin. DO NOT apply heat therapy for more than 20 minutes. COLD THERAPY DIRECTIONS: 1. Place gel pack flat in freezer for at least 1 hour. 2. Test the gel pack's temperature for comfort level. 3. Do Not apply the gel pack directly to skin DO NOT apply cold therapy for more than 20 minutes

WARNING: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. Watch the gel pack while heating. If it expands, turn microwave off immediately and allow for gel pack to cool and re-form before using. Tried to use as a hot pack
Before I put into microwave I read the instructions to see if it gave a recommendation as to how long to put it in for but there was no recommend time any where on the box or the product. As to what to heat the product to. All it says on the box is to watch the product to see if it expands doesn't even give an estimate time to even put it in the microwave for. Not impressed at all and would not recommend it to anyone except for cold use. I wouldn't even give it a star
Perfect for those hot summer nights
Using it as a cold pack for those hot summer nights when it is hard to sleep. It stays cold for some time after removing from freezer and the gel keeps it soft. Make sure to wrap it in a dish/face cloth . This is the best product for a cold pack.

Great ice pack. You obviously need to wrap it in a dish towel before using it- ignore the previous reviewer who doesn't understand how frostbite happens. Perfect size for most common injuries and applications. Super value. 10/10
Works as expected .
This works as expected, giving cold where it is needed. Wrap it in a dishtowel before applying (come on Average Joe reviewer…). Gets a bit stiff coming out of the freezer, but loosens up quickly.
