This stuff is legit! I bought this gel out of desperation and curiosity after getting a severe, nearly 2nd degree sunburn 2 weeks ago. I knew about camphor's analgesic qualities and it delivered! Took the scorching pain down to a dull sting. Fast forward to now, I'm still peeling where the burn was worst, but this gel relieves that horrendous itch 100% as well!

This stuff works really well. Skin always feels instantly cool even after the worst sunburn and it hydrates extremely well too. It's absolutely perfect. ALSO, it's the only cooling after sun gel I've been able to find that uses camphor instead of lidocaine. I'm allergic to lidocaine and almost every after sun product uses it. I love this stuff so so much and am glad there's something out there I can use for sunburns that does not contain lidocaine. Please never change this product. It's perfect and a must have for me. This sun relief is amazing! It really does help sunburnt skin feel more hydrated and cools it down. It has a scent that I do like but could potentially be off putting to some people

The product has a very strong medicinal smell to it (similar to Vicks Vapour Rub). The gel applies easily to skin and, although it does sooth burning skin, I was surprised by the fact that it did not provide a cooling effect. The product absorbs well into skin and leaves minimal residue (slight "sticky" feeling). While I did find that this product was effective for relieving the pain associated with sun burn, I prefer other products for aiding sun burnt skin.

It doesn't burn strongly (no more than other products for sunburns usually do) although it does make your eyes sting for a few seconds, and you can quickly feel the cooling affect. It doesn't make the burn seem extra dry either, while it does help relieve the pain.
