Brilliant machine!

I've had this machine for almost a week now so I've had an opportunity to try out some of the functions. The first thing I have to say is that it's so easy to use. It took me only 10-15 minutes to read and digest the instructions. They're well written and in plain English! The second thing I have to... say about it is the fact that it is so perfectly sized. I've had other machines which are too cumbersome for the countertop, but this one fits perfectly under the kitchen cabinets with plenty of room all around for good ventilation. I also love the sleek design of it, the gently sloping sides make it very stylish. There is an accompanying shelf that you can use in either the lower or upper position (as shown in photos) depending on what you're cooking and how much heat you need to have your ingredients exposed to. The first function I used was roast. I decided to do my roast potatoes in this machine rather than in 'another one' I normally use. I love roast potatoes done in the other machine so this was going to be a challenge. After parboiling the potatoes (left quite large) for 5 minutes, I put them on to roast and they were ready to eat in 30 minutes. The results really shocked me and I won't hesitate to use this machine again for my roasties. The second and third functions used were 'Max Crisp' and 'Air Fry'. With max crisp you can cook from frozen with the food cooked thoroughly and without drying food up. Brilliant time saver if you are pushed and don't have the opportunity to defrost stuff for a quick dinner. Similarly the air fry function has worked perfectly to finish off jacket potatoes very quickly, and I've also used the air fry function to make some cheese crumpets. Using the shelf in the upper position, the air fry setting basically works as a grill with a fan so that the up and down side of the crumpets cook evenly. The placing the cheese on top and leaving for another minute or so, the cheese has melted perfectly into the crumpets. The fourth function I used was the 'Bake'. I decided to use just a packet mix 🙄 of fairy cakes to see how it would work. I could only get 9 fairy cake cases to comfortably fit, but that didn't really matter to me as I just put another 6 in later as a second batch. The results were the same as using a conventional fan oven with an even rise and a lovely golden brown colour. It's easy to see why this machine is so much of an energy saver compared to a conventional oven because the preheat and cook times are a lot lower, and it's a much smaller space you're heating. Having said that, the overall size of the single compartment is really impressive! It's easily big enough for a large chicken (which will be my next item to cook). The last function I used was the 'Reheat'. This was just putting a few slices of leftover pizza from a previous day's dinner in and setting it to reheat. It was just like taking a fresh pizza from an oven, with no burning or drying out (which has often happened to me when doing the same with a conventional oven.) I've not tried the 'Dehydrate' function yet, but if I get the chance before Christmas I'd like to put some slices of orange and lemon in to maybe hang on our Christmas tree or incorporate them into our wreathes. I'm imagining an amazing smell around the house as a result. All in all, this machine really is great and I've already sung its' praises to some family and friends.
