Great brush but..
Made a switch to these last year with our 2 kids, they love the brushes, it does excellent job! However couldn't/can't sync it to my iPad/iPhone/Samsung. Tried everything and even troubleshooting with customer service over phone. Still can't sync them.. Philips sent me one replacement brush (I told ...

Great design to teach kids to brush teeth by watching the video on app, but the quality of the material it's very hard to keep it clean( without mold) the bottom of the brush, the connection between head and brush need to be cleaned very often, otherwise it will have mold! I change brush head every ...

philips.comLove the idea but the sparkly adventure feature will not unlock no matter what I do. My child was very excited about this and it's a bummer to have paid so much and it not work.
Game changer
I've never been one to enjoy brushing my teeth. Its a routine that's boring and one has to stand still for. After an accident, I lost significant small motor hand skills so my hygenist recommended this toothbrush. Total game changer with vastly improved dental check-ups. I recommend this to adults also as its easier to hold and for anyone autistic too. Add a podcast, music or such of distraction (especially for autists) to make teeth and gums easier to care for and close to enjoyable that becomes almost addictive in the best way.

Why don't the adult sonicare brushes connect?

philips.comMy 7 year old got this for her birthday and wasn't even disappointed to get a toothbrush. She loves it and tells all her friends about how fun her Sparkly is. She has made profiles for the whole family, I just wish I could connect my own brush. I kind of wish I had gotten my own kids brush instead of an adult version.
It's worth a try

philips.comI'm not sure it holds enough value per buck. Even in the website if feels like Phillips gives ths an after thought. The product is solid, effective and delivers what it is intended for. Using the app and buying parts is what makes the stars go down.
This toothbrush is fine

philips.comIt's fine. We've had ours for a few years but he never consistently used it (he would switch to different tooth brushes because we would run out of heads for this). I can't ever find replacement heads in stores and a lot of the time they're out of stock online. The app is very old and doesn't. Really get updated. It freezes a lot. The toothbrush itself is fine but I've noticed the on/off button is getting loose or something because very hard to turn on/off now. Again it's a few years old but not with consistent use. I think it's a fine purchase for the price but don't expect it to be top of the line quality. It's fine for a kid and the app teaches them more visually how to brush your teeth (along with help of parents)
This is a great product & it's a great success!

Black Mold
Verified Buyer

philips.comThese kid specific toothbrush heads grow black mold. I've used multiple brands of electric toothbrushes for many many years with no issues. When we got the kids Sonicare for my son, I noticed that within a couple of weeks, the brush had black mold/mildew in between the bristles and in the holes that hold the bristles in place. I thought it was a fluke so I bought replacements and found that this happened every single time. After multiple times replacing the toothbrush heads way more frequently than should be needed, we finally got him a different toothbrush all together.
Makes toothbrushing more effective and fun

philips.comMy kids love it! But... I opened up the review page specifically to ask/recommend that the software be updated so that the child's account is available across multiple devices. Sometimes they brush using my phone and sometimes using their dad's phone if I'm working late so I have a reminder to "fake brush" when I'm out (after confirmation from my husband that they did brush) so that they can build their streaks. My son really wants a long streak (my daughter doesn't care). But I'm human and sometimes forget. Looking forward to the sonicare kids app 2.0 where this is a possibility! Also, the ability to program in a reminder after brushing - "Don't forget your retainer!", or flossing, or whatever would be helpful.
Best to avoid - died after 10 months

philips.comMy son loves this brush. It was a great motivator to get him brushing regularly. However, the motor in it has failed after only 10 months - I find this to be unacceptable.
