Not functional. The plastic is hard, separating the toes but hurting your foot. The support straps don't hold the product on the foot. Even when you're lying in bed, you can feel this piece of junk hurting your foot. I'm very disappointed

profoot.comI read bunions are caused by the pointed toe design of our shoes. They gradually bend our big and small toes inward...instead of providing room to keep our toes spaced. A baby's toes are actually wider than their feet. If our shoes were properly designed, they would remain spaced and correctly aligned. Add flatter heels to spacious toes, and we would probably all have better body alignment and posture. Our toe muscles tighten or lengthen to correspond to the alignment spacing in our shoes. We need to gradually readjust the length of these misaligned muscles, back to where God intended, as demonstrated on a baby's foot, with the proper equipment. ProFoot's previous design Pictured a Padded VELCRO adjustable upper strap. I felt it was false advertising, when I got it home to discover a slotted large strap that was not adjustable. (As if feet came in all ONE SIZE!) How I wish they had included an ADJUSTABLE velcro one! S0... many years later...I still have it. I still need to make an adjustable, VELCRO strap, to make it work, because they cheated me. They said they guarantee instant relief on the package, but proper fit ILLUSIVE without BOTH STRAPS including some PADDING and VELCRO for infinite adjustment. The plastic toe brace could use a little plusher padding. I have tried Yoga Toes...but they REALLY grip the sheets, and are too monstrous and grippy, to get SOCKS over. I tried bags! This really shouldn't BE so DIFFICULT. A PROPER ProFoot could gradually align the Big Toe, over time. And a smaller minimalist style of Yoga Toes without the side wraps, could be worn in shoes with socks during the day. I like having one bar (upper or lower) holding and spacing toe peg separators, as stretchy ones that surround toes, seem to cut off circulation after a while, and I have to take them off! I've MADE some progress...but after trying various styles...I feel I have learned the weak and strong points of various designs. ProFoot needs a little tweaking, to be a great help. More padding and 2 VELCRO STRAPS. Yoga Toes could be minimized for everyday in-shoe wear. Just like a car's tires need to be aligned for good wear...So our bodies NEED our Toes and Feet to be Aligned for pain-free wear. Women are the most victimized by fashion industry, especially in the past with pointed toes and high heels. I was a nurse aide, and saw older women's feet. They don't try to pull uncomfortable designs on guys. Guys don't require such variety of styles, so they get more comfort AND quality! Less (styles vs quality) is more! AND PREVENTION is worth a POUND of CURE. So far, we STILL need CURE, to compensate for UNFRIENDLY FOOTWEAR.

profoot.comMy feet kill me! I work in concrete floors. My bunions were driving me crazy! After the first night of wearing them, I felt a difference!! Very impressive!
This product was not comfortable to wear at all during the night. The long, plastic sides dug into my foot. You cannot walk with it on, so you can only wear it at night. The velcro strap is way too long. The part needed to stick to the other part of the strap was past where it was needed so I had to tuck and fold it under. It was very scratchy. I no longer have the receipt to return it. What a waste. I had one prior to this one, which I broke. It never hurt to wear it, no digging in, no strap issues.

profoot.comLove this! Bought 1 for my little brother since we both got gyped of good feet gene!! It works while you sleep to encourage normal foot alignment. Pain free and non invasive and easy to attach...if you have pain it's not on properly or attached too tight! Lord willing, my foot will improve enough to avoid a hammer toe or corns forming thanks to this brace!

profoot.comI like the product so far, but I'm not sure it's doing the job. This is my third night in a row wearing it, sometimes I wake up at night to release the strap a little (as the plastic puts so much pressure on the big toe nail). I wanted to know how long does it take for the product to straighten up the foot and does it really make it disappear or just releases the pain?

profoot.comShould be made stronger. Plastic is wimpy. Velcro broke on me. Need smaller velcro strap due to small feet.

profoot.comUse this product when you go to bed or when you are resting. It is not meant to be walked on, but easily removed with the velcro strap. You have to be careful to have it on loosely enough--no need to use aggressively, on too tightly, or it will cut into the skin and be uncomfortable. The idea is to re-train the bone and/or to relieve the pressure on the nerve in the toe that is being pinched due to the bunion.

profoot.comI tried this product for a week to give it a fair chance. Each night, the hard plastic parts cut into my feet, and bruised my skin. It was painful; hard to make it through the night. They are now in the landfill. Additionally, please refrain from packaging in 100% plastic. Is there anyone over the age of childhood who does not know by now that our cast off plastic packaging is ruining our environment. Really, those packagers who are still using plastic packaging should be fined - heftily.

profoot.comI have used these for quite some time. I am on about my fourth pair. They do help bunion from getting worse. My complaint is that the velcro straps should be sold separately, to replace worn ones instead of having to buy new splints
