I have seriously dry hair after moving from a humid city in another province to Wpg... It feels as though all of moisture in my body and hair was sucked out as soon as I arrived. This leave in conditioner has been a lifesaver for my curly, wavy hair. Don't use too much or your hair will feel waxy but finding the right amount will leave your scalp, roots to tips feeling soft and silky in no time!

I have used the JBOC leave in for literally almost a decade now and all of a sudden it's making my hair frizzy? At first I noticed that the formula was white and it smelled more like perfume instead of play dough like it normally does. I was skeptical but I went ahead and used it anyway. I have NEVER experienced this with this leave in. I am sooooo disappointed that my favorite product has been changed with literally no consideration for the people using it. CHANGE IT BACK!

I purchased Shea Moisture products to AVOID harmful ingredients. Well, was I wrong!!! Now the "new formulation" adds polyquaternium-10, polysorbates, amd other toxic ingredients. These ingredients are horrible for your health and safety. They cause me to have severe skin irritations, and systemic allergic reactions. Sad to say, but Shea Moisture has really gone against what I thought they stood for. Don't buy these new formulations if you value your health, wellness, and safety!!!

I had to read the reviews before I wrote mine and I have been holding back for months. Been using this shampoo for more than three years and boy did the formula change. There's no sort of lather and my hair never feels clean when I wash it, it always feels like there's still buildup on my hair. I also noticed breakouts on my scalp and shedding of my hair. Most of all, I noticed when the shampoo is done how many particles are left in the bottle unlike before. It also seems to stain shower curtains etc. I will most likely throw out the few bottles I have left and I won't repurchase.

I've spent yearsss trying to find the perfect shampoo and this shampoo WAS the one. I've used it for years and raved about it to anyone who would listen. It moisturized my dyed hair, permed hair, you name it. But with the new formulation, the shampoo has gone completely wayward. My scalp gets oily very quickly and I'm getting dandruff!!! Please please return it to the old formula. Please

My hairdresser commented on how much my hair had grown in 3 months. Another hairdresser in there commented on how thick my hair was looking! I'm sold.

I put this leave-in after using the Jamaican oil shampoo and it dried my hair badly, destroyed my curls. After 20 minutes of applying it my hair was like a bird nest!! So dry and tangled that I had to cut it off ,very upsetting when its length was down my waist. I have fine very frizzy 3c curls hair and I had high hopes for this brand to work.

By looking at the list of ingredients of this conditioner, on this website, I was so excited to try this conditioner. So I went and bought a jar, the problem is the ingredients differ on the jar I bought. They differ in ingredients listed and in the order they appear on my jar. The major difference is, the the jar I bought has "fragrance (parfum)" as an ingredient but I don't see that listed here. Thankfully, I did not open it and hopefully they will reimburse me. I didn't expect to have such an ingredient in a so called "clean product". Please be FAIR in listing the ingredients here. Therefore, I rate this product ZERO since I will not get to test it unless I find a jar like the one pictured here on this site with no "fragrance (parfum)" in it.

I've been using this leave-in for year and it's in rotation with another leave-in. This leaves my 3bc curls soft. I use it right after washing and conditioning, and before applying my hair gel. One of the few products left from SM that they haven't negatively tampered with. Highly recommended!! Especially, if you need a little boost of protein in between your protein treatments or their Bond Repair masque.
