In March of 2021 Shiseido brought out Men Face Cleaner to replace the retiring Cleansing Foam. We long-term users were surprised. Those of us who made a thorough check are pleased. The differences make it better though some users don't notice the industry improvement trends towards more natural, less foam and greater skin treatment depth. It handles differently, and is different. In life, change is the only constant so when familiarity is disturbed what matters is whether the new can serve the same purpose maybe with greater range of benefit. The cleansing action is more subtle, the foam is denser with more cling, and the skin effect is more nutritive. This is also a trend in many shaving cream, soaps and gels. Lighter touch - finesse the glide. So how does the reformulation shave? It especially likes the Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 safety razor which is better than all cartridge and disposable types. Safety razors and shavettes defeat the plastic stuff; better shaves, less waste and most importantly - freedom from gimmick concepts. The new Shiseido 2 in 1 fits the modern style of less foam, more face hug. I do my wash and shave at the same time out of a bowl because a bit of lather building by brush brings out its potential. One pass, in the direction of hair growth with minimal touch-ups. Industry standard method, though many feel they need multi-pass, multi-direction due to confusion about how follicles function and what razors work right. It does help to use an atomizer - mist sprayer to balance moisture through the shave.

An amazing facial cleanser- I have bought it at least 3 times! The cleanser is lightly and pleasantly scented, and leaves my face clean, firm, and refreshed each time I use it. I am especially impressed that my face looks cleaner and fresher with just a small dab of product, decreasing the oil on my face without drying it out. #sweepstakes

This is the first time for me to purchase a men's product by Shiseido. I cannot be happier! The cleanser obviously cleans my face, but the smell is so perfect; not perfume me but very subtle and dare I say mainly.
