Why don't you build some boats, poke tiny holes in the boat bottoms, and then cover them in wax paper, sealed with white school glue. Any product testing? Any real people who use freezer bags asked about their thoughts on this? Switching to a different brand now.

You could put a wet beach towel in there, maybe even two! These bags are versatile, they could be used for storage for food, crafts, clothes… the list can go on.
